Most mold lab reports list mold types and numbers but provide little real-world interpretation. This review helps you understand whether your results appear normal, elevated, or potentially concerning — and what practical next steps may make sense based on the findings.
Accepted Report Types
- Spore trap (air) reports
- Tape lift results
- Swab sample results
- ERMI / HERTSMI-2 reports
Not Accepted
Unanalyzed petri dish, settle plate, or “grow-at-home” mold tests without laboratory analysis are not accepted because they do not provide reliable interpretation of indoor mold conditions. Medical or mycotoxin testing alone cannot be reviewed without accompanying environmental testing or inspection data.
